I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Illinois State University, where I teach courses ranging from undergraduate principles of economics to graduate applied econometrics.

My research can be categorized into four groups. 1) Taxes, 2) Taxes, 3) Taxes, and 4) Taxes. That is, I study the causes and consequences of 1) Tax Compliance, 2) Tax Reforms, 3) Tax Cuts, and 4) Sin Taxes. I have also dabbled on a few other related topics. You can find more about my research here. If you are interested in talking about my research or yours, let’s get in touch.

I am grateful to the National Science Foundation and Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy for research grants and to the Internal Revenue Service for research collaboration and access to tax returns data.
